About Me

Capt. Abdullahi Maikano Sidi is a very experienced aviation industry light. He is very well exposed and knowledgeable in aviation industry and flight operations, in particular. He is a self-motivated, dynamic and proactive able to adapt to changing circumstances and capable of working with people of diverse personalities. He has an excellent organizational and communications skills, an outstanding work ethic, the ability to work equally well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments.

Capt. Abdullahi Maikano Sidi was born on December 26, 1956. Hails from Zaria in Kaduna State.An Aviator with over Thirty (30) years’ experience.

He had his primary school education at L.E.A. Primary School, Sabon Garia, Zaria in Kaduna State from 1965 to 1970. He was in Government College, Kano from 1971 to 1975 for his post-primary education.

Capt. Sidi proceeded to Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria in Kaduna State from 1976 to 1977. Capt. Sidi is a holder of Commercial Pilot License (CPL) undertook a course in Airline Training Institute of America and at the Ground School Limited in 1982.

He was First Officer on B727, F28 and F27 at Nigeria Airways Limited from 1978 to 1982, Senior First Officer on B707, B727 and Helicopter Pilot at United Air Service (Dantata Group) from 1982 to 1985. He was Captain CARRAVALLE SE210 and Captain on B727-100 at Kabo Air Limited from 1985 to 1987, Captain on B707 Freighter (Cargo) at E.A.S. Cargo Airlines from 1987 to 1993, Capt. Sidi became Chief Pilot, Captain and Training Captain on B727 and BAC-1/11 at Kabo Air Limited from 1993 to 1999. Captain Sidi also became Captain and Training Captain with Presidential Air Fleet, flying the Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo from year 2000 to 2003 on Boeing 727-200.

From 2002 to 2005, Capt. Sidi was Captain and Training Captain on B727 with Albarka Airlines Limited, Captain and Training Captain on B727 with Chanchangi Airlines Limited from 2005 to 2006.

Capt. Sidi became Director of Flight Operations with IRS Airlines Limited from 2011 to 2012.

He is currently Director of Operations and Training with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) from 2012 till date.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
