About Me

Capt. Ayodele Oladipo Sasegbon was an accomplished pilot with over 40 years experience in the aviation industry.

He was a Line Pilot on the F27, FS8, B727, B737 AND DC-10 of Nigerian Airways Limited from 1976 to 1991, Training Line Pilot of Aero Contractors Nig. Ltd. From 1993 to 1998. In 1998 to 2000, he became Chief Pilot of Pan African Airlines Nig. Ltd. He was appointed Aviation Safety Inspector, Director of Safety Regulations and Monitoring (DSRAM) from 1999 to 2000. Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) from 2000 to 2002. Between 2003 and 2008, he became Aviation Superintendent in Chevron Texaco Nig. Ltd. Chief Technical Adviser, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) between 2008 and 2010. Panel member June-August, 2012 – Technical and Administrative Review Panel on Domestic Airlines (TARPDA) – Ministry of Aviation, Committee Member on the review of Nigerian Civil Act as well as the Act for all six parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Aviation in 2013, Committee Civil Aviation Policy (NCAP) development in January, 2013. He is currently Director, General Aviation of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority from March 2013 to date.

Captain Sasegbon holds Private Pilots Licence, Commercial Pilots Licence, Instrument Rating, Multi-engine Rating at Burn Side OTT Aviation Training Centre in Miami Florida, United State of America from 1973 to 1975. He also obtained the following Certificate/Degree:

He is happily married with children.
