About Me

Engr.Ita Awak was born in April 27, 1960 in Enwang in AkwaIbom State.

Currently, is the Director of Airworthiness Standards (DAWS) in Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

He had his primary education at Zumratul Islammiya Primary School, AraromiOlodi, Apapa in Lagos State from 1965 to 1971. He proceeded to Methodist Secondary School, Ete, IkotAbasi, Calabar from 1972 to 1976. From 1983 to 1987, he had his Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria.

He served as Commissioner for Information & Culture in AkwaIbom State from 2002 to 2003, Chief Executive Officer at PtahAwang Nigeria Limited from 1998 to 2002. Deputy Chief Engineer with City Links Airlines, Port Harcourt from 1995 to 1997. He also worked as Senior Engineer, City Link Airlines, Port Harcourt from 1992 to 1995 and as Line Engineer with Express Airways, Kaduna from 1987 to 1988

Engr. ItaAwak is married with children.
